New PIM

At Tuindeco It was time for a complete overhaul in the field of e-commerce. A new website and a completely new PIM system. The current webshop runs on a “self-built” ERP system, which poses a large number of limitations. With the new shop and the new PIM system, we can optimize on various fronts.

Through Google, we came across several providers, including Calago. Calago had multiple PIM solutions for us. This offered the great advantage that we could choose the most suitable system. In our case, a combination of Akeneo and Horizon.

Our new system also needed to provide data migration to the webshop and an API integration for our customers. Furthermore, we are currently working on a catalog migration.

The responsibility

Our responsibility is to manage the product data and ensure that it is complete and improved. Just log cabins already have so many specifications, which are spread across various systems. With this system, we can provide product sheets with all specifications to our customers. Our sales department will soon be able to find all product information in one place. They no longer need to search in various systems and with different suppliers. They can retrieve detailed information from our new PIM system about every component of log cabins.

During the live meeting, all our questions were answered quickly and clearly. We also felt that we were coming to the best choice together.
